If you're stuck on a rock or stump, calmly assess the situation first. This will minimize the risk of damage to your vehicle.
  7. Drive at an angle through small ravines, ditches or trunks so that three wheels help the fourth to pass.
  8. Check the tread regularly - if it's dirty, you'll lose traction.
  9. When climbing a steep slope, attack it perpendicularly - keep all four wheels in the direction of the slope to maximize power and traction.
  10. Before returning to the paved road, clean the tires of dirt and other debris, and then check the air pressure in the tires. Also, check the tires for damage before continuing your journey.
