How to use prickly pear fig oil for face?

The most valuable ingredients in cosmetics usually come from nature, and among them there are those that deserve special attention. For example, prickly pear oil is one of the hits of recent years, which, with regular use, can have a rejuvenating effect on the skin. Where is it from? How does it work and what does it contain?

In the hot Sicilian spring, cacti bloom along the roads, fields and meadows. During the July heat, instead of flowers, small fruits appear, the color of which varies from green to red-pink. This large cactus is nothing but a fig prickly pear, and its juicy fruits hide one of the most interesting plant cosmetic raw materials, namely seeds. It is from them that the famous oil for skin care is made. To produce it, or rather squeeze it cold, you need a lot of these grains. It takes almost a ton of fruit to produce a liter of oil, which probably explains its relatively high price.

This luxurious raw material works well not only in facial cosmetics, because the leaves, pulp and flowers are also a good and nutritious ingredient in natural supplements and teas. The fruit of the prickly pear is an extremely capacious store of water, and the pulp contains, among other things, sucrose, mucopolysaccharides, lipids and fiber. The fruits also contain important vitamins: C, B1 and B12, vitamin E and beta-carotene. This is not the end, because the natural wealth of this cactus includes minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and sodium. Finally, alpha hydroxy acids, flavonoids and anthocyanins. And so we got to the insides of small multi-colored fruits, where 40 percent are seeds - an excellent source of flavonoids, tannins and polyphenols. What does so many chemical names in one small plant mean to us? Fruit used as a superfood or supplement can effectively maintain an ideal body weight, lower cholesterol and blood glucose levels. However, it's time to focus on the oil, which is getting louder and louder, and there are fans among us calling it natural Botox.

Interestingly, prickly pear oil is great for relieving sunburn and can even speed up the healing of cold sores.

It's even better, because the small prickly pear seeds contain a huge dose of vitamin E, incomparable to any other ingredient in cosmetics. That's where it's from strongly healing and protective effect of the oil. In turn, the presence of phytosterols I guarantee humidification. As a result, the skin looks softer and younger. This ingredient supports the production of collagen and betalains, another type of powerful antioxidant. they slow down the aging process. And add brightening vitamin K and strengthening amino acids.
