When a difficult situation arises on the road, the first impulse of drivers is to press the brake pedal. However, this response is not always sufficient. We must be aware that when a passenger car is moving at 50 km/h on a wet, slippery surface, we need about 50 meters to completely stop the car. In addition, there are a dozen or so meters that the car travels before we decide to brake. 
We often have too little room to slow down in front of an obstacle that suddenly appears in our path. Restricting the operation to only depressing the brake pedal is ineffective and inevitably leads to a collision. How to save yourself
To get out of an extreme traffic situation, you need to remember one basic rule - pressing the brake pedal locks the wheels and causes the car to become unstable, so any turn of the steering wheel 
ineffective. Obstacle avoidance is carried out according to a certain scenario. First of all, we press the brake to slow down and turn the steering wheel to choose a new path for our car. Since we have the brake pressed, the car does not respond to steering movements and continues to move straight. Once we choose the right moment to "run away", we must break the thought block and release the brake. The car will drive in the direction we set the wheels earlier, which is why it is so important to always keep a close eye on the road and its surroundings while driving. When faced with a difficult traffic situation, the ABS system can also help. However, it should be remembered that cars equipped with ABS have a longer stopping distance on very slippery surfaces than cars without this system.
