In New Jersey, a license plate can be personalized in two different ways. You can choose the license plate design and also compose a special message for the license plate. Part 1 of 2: choose and order your personal license plates

You will be required to pay an individual license plate fee in addition to the license plate design fee.

Part 2 of 2. Set up your personal license plates

Step 1: Receive your personalized license plates in the mail. When your application is accepted and your plates are made, they will be mailed to you.

If you are not comfortable installing license plates yourself, you can go to any garage or mechanic shop and have them installed.
