To adjust the derailleur on your Velobecane electric bike you will need:

First, you need to make sure there are no rigid links on your electric bike chain. To do this, turn the crank (s) and see if the rear galai is bouncing. If so, there is a hard link.

When you notice this, take a screwdriver, insert it into the jumper and move it from right to left. This will solve your problem.

To adjust the switch, you must first remove the cable by unscrewing the nut (using a 9 mm open-end wrench) located behind the switch.

On the derailleur, fully tighten the knob on the black cable.

Then make sure the derailleur suspension on the frame is straight and parallel to the chain.

If not, the derailleur suspension needs to be straightened. You will need a size 5 wrench for this operation, insert it at the level of the derailleur screw on your e-bike. To move the switch suspension to the right, push it down with a key 5 mm; to move it to the left, push it down.

* Make sure the switch screw is securely tightened.

Subsequently, it will be necessary to adjust the switch stops (which can be adjusted with the 2 switch screws):

Top stop (screw "H")
Bottom stop (screw "L")

To adjust the stops, you need to turn the wheel with the pedals and chain, and turn the gears with your finger.

If the chain is going to come out towards the spoke, it will be necessary to slightly tighten the screw "L" and then try again.

If the chain gets stuck in the frame, tighten the screw “H” and try again.

Then place the derailleur housing in the last gear (7th gear) before adjusting the cable tension. Place the wire on the nut (the wire should be taut), then tighten with a 9 mm spanner.

Finally, when everything is aligned, that is, the stops are adjusted, the chain is aligned and the cable is tensioned, we will run the gears normally to check if everything is working correctly.
