Step 1. Use the headlight retrofit kit.

You don't necessarily need a professional to repair your headlights. If the surface is not too damaged, a headlight repair kit will do. These kits cost between 20 and 40 euros and you can find them online, as well as at gas stations or auto centers.

Depending on the type of kit, headlight repairs can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. It's very simple: you first sand the damaged plastic layer, and then apply a finishing product that will protect the headlight and restore its shine.

Step 2: use toothpaste

Another economical headlight repair solution is to use toothpaste. You can only use this method if your headlights are not severely damaged. Start by degreasing the headlights, then apply the toothpaste with a sponge and then wipe with a cloth. Then rinse the headlight and let it dry.

Step 3. Use a mosquito repellent

Mosquito spray can also liven up the look of your car's headlights. So, start by spraying the product on your headlight and then wipe it down with a rag. Let it dry: your headlights are now very clean!
