How To: Paint the edges with feathers to prime your damaged car

In this video tutorial on cars, motorcycles and airplanes, you'll learn how to blend paint around the edges to prepare your damaged car for primer. Feather edging is the process of feathering or layering each layer of coating to prevent roughness. Use a 6" DA and 150-220 grit sandpaper to smooth out the edges of the paint. Apply sandpaper all over the edge of the paint until the edges are smooth. Feel with your hand to make sure all edges are even. Blend each coat of paint at least a quarter of an inch. This will eliminate any hard, rough paint edge.
