How to use a digital radius meter?
Content
Step 1 - Gauge Setting
Enable and configure the digital radius sensor. (Depending on the instructions for your product). Note: Some digital sensors require an external computer system for data processing.
Step 2 - Choose an application
Consider your application. The digital radius meter is capable of measuring the inner diameters of cylindrical holes, measuring grooves and measuring sphere diameters from 100mm to 1000mm.
Step 3 - Position Sensor
Ensure that the center strip is pressed against the test piece and the scale slider is moved up or down until the strip contacts are in contact with the test piece. The caliber can expand significantly to fit the surface.
Step 4 - Read the measurement
After the contact points remain in contact with the radius for a few seconds, the exact radius value can be read on the digital display.
You might want to look at the sensor's versatility beyond measuring sheet metal. Other applications are listed below:The digital gauge can be used to measure the waviness on the finished surface.A digital sensor can be used to measure the radius of a television tube.A digital sensor can be used to measure the mold radius. It can also be used to measure the radius of wood or art products.A digital radius meter can be used to measure the radius of a bent pipe.Or it can be used to measure the changing radius during profiling.
