You will need:
| ||
Step 1 - Place the jaws around the objectLoosen the jaws and place them on either side of the object you want to hold.
Step 2 - Tighten the screws by handWhen the clamp is in position, finger-tighten the center screw and the outer screw.
Step 3 - Move the clip from side to sideNow try to move the clip from side to side on the outer end, checking for movement or rotation.
If the clip turns at the end of the jaws, the jaws are too close. To fix this, loosen the outer screw and open the jaws slightly with the center screw, then tighten again with the outer screw.
If the clamp turns at the edge of the workpiece, the jaws are too far apart. Then you need to loosen the clamp, tighten the central screw a little and tighten the clamp again.
If the clamp cannot move from side to side, make sure the screws are hand-tight so that they cannot be tightened any further.
Step 4 - Tighten the outer screwYou can then tighten the outer screw with a torque rod. If it then moves from side to side, tighten the center screw firmly using the adjusting rod. |
