How to sell a used car after an accident?

Sometimes we may think that after an accident, we won't be able to sell our used car, and here we will answer that question so that you can make the best use of your accident car.

It is important for us to start by saying that honesty, documentation and repair are essential elements after your vehicle has been involved in an accident or traffic accident.

Thus, here we challenge the notion that one cannot profit financially from a vehicle involved in an accident. You can get money for a broken car in two ways:

1- Sell the car for parts

Depending on the severity of the accident your car was involved in, you may be able to sell your (undamaged) parts for a reasonable price.

Your well-maintained used car parts can be sold on online platforms such as eBay and Amazon MarketPlace, among others, where we encourage you to be honest about the origin of the parts.

Additionally, In case you can't sell them online, you can offer parts of your damaged car at a so-called "Junkyard" or junkyards/shops where they are likely to accept your parts but at a much lower price.

As a third option, you can find an interested buyer who will buy the item for cash. However, this is the option we least recommend because you will make significantly less money, in addition to having to sell where taxes are not applied. If possible, avoid both buying and selling auto parts in this way.

2- Sell the whole car

As in the previous section, what we will say below only applies if your vehicle did not suffer significant complex damage while involved in a traffic accident.

If this is the case, and if you have invested in refurbishing it for resale, we recommend the following options:

A- Sell the repaired car to the dealer: This is one of the easiest alternatives, depending on your particular case. Typically, dealers will offer you a relatively low price for your car, but you will be able to recoup the investment in repairs (if you did), or at least they will give you money for a car that would otherwise represent a loss. for your pocket.

B-Vende has "Dump": Again, this is one of the least recommended cases, but if your car is in pretty bad condition after an accident, then it's best to take it to a junkyard (metal buyers). They may not give you a large amount of money, but as in the previous case, it can be a significant return.

In addition, all the options mentioned above imply clear and concise communication between the seller and the buyer.
