There is no such trunk in Russia where the same blue spray can - WD-40 grease - did not hide in a secret corner. You don’t even need to turn to statistics: American penetrating lubricant is the most popular auto chemical product in the country. Is it possible to recreate it in garage conditions so as not to pay for the brand?

For those who are not familiar with the miraculous properties of the “blue bottle”, it’s time to turn to the World Wide Web: popular rumor says that it can be used to catch fish, treat arthritis, and remove lice, and generally find about a million more different uses. . Well, a vehicle that is not equipped with this drug is considered simply unsafe: and if suddenly, then what? And there will be nothing to splash on the cause of troubles.

There is some truth in every joke: WD-40 can really work wonders with a complex and sour joint, revive a long-rusted lock and help insert a key into a frozen well. WD is short for Water Displacement - a moisture remover, just in case. And also remove scratches and stuck insects, clean the terminals, remove stains on the body, and much, much more. The miracle cure has only one drawback: the price. A tiny bottle costs two hundred "wooden" ones, and for a decent size container you have to pay at least five hundred rubles. How much of that amount goes to the brand, and how much goes to the drug itself?

The composition is more or less known: white spirit, motor oil, carbon dioxide to turn everything into an aerosol liquid, and some secret element. Omitting the unattainable, we get two ingredients that are in every garage - white spirit, which "provides logistics" for the very lubricant, which is ordinary motor oil. The famous solvent can easily be replaced with high-purity kerosene. “Motor” is what comes to hand first: mineral, semi- or fully synthetic in this case does not matter. We need to unscrew the screw, not the “checkers”.

In order to avoid misunderstandings, let's combine in the proportion ¾ white spirit and ¼ oil. Mix, but do not shake, keeping in mind the quick evaporation of the solvent. In other words, you need to use the composition immediately after its creation. Shelf life even in a closed container will not be long.

It remains to figure out how to deliver the resulting composition "to the address." If there was no sprayer for large-scale surfaces and a syringe for small ones at hand, then we use the old, like the world, and proven, like a small sapper shovel, method: we make a compress by wrapping the knot we need with a rag soaked in the newly created solution. There is always a "cut" of rags and old kitchen towels.

And here's the miracle. Working! Maybe not as fast as WD-40, because there is no such strong moral component, but no less productive. Soured nuts and screws give in, the mechanisms begin to turn. That is, it has moved from the "dead point" - then it's a matter of technology and tools.
