Technology is great most of the time. Previously, you could replace the battery in your car and not worry. However, many modern vehicles lose the power window function after a battery change. This means that the power window will still move up and down, but the automatic one-push function will be lost.

This is because changing the battery overrides the parameters stored in the power window control module. But fear not, there is a way to restore the automatic window function.

Part 1 of 1. Resetting the Auto Window Function

Step 1: Turn the key to the "accessory" or "on" position.. This will allow you to get started by making sure electricity is being supplied to your windows.

Step 2: Make sure the windows are completely closed. Close the windows so you can reset the automatic function.

Step 3: Fully lower the window. Fully lower the window and hold the auto button pressed for 10 seconds.

Step 4: Raise the window all the way.. Raise the window fully and hold the auto button in the up position for 10 seconds.

Step 5: Check the automatic power window function.. Raise and lower the windows a few times using the automatic function to make sure everything is working properly.

Completing these steps should restore the automatic window feature. If this does not happen, additional problems with the system may occur. The AvtoTachki team is always ready to help with power window problems and perform a check so that your system works properly again.
