How to reset a faulty speedometer after starting the engine from a power source or changing the car battery

In the past, most mechanics had to replace the speedometer head when a car arrived with a broken speedometer. Currently, there is a possible reset procedure that can be used, and it can be done by most car owners right at home.

A common problem with this fault occurs when the car owner has recently replaced the battery or may have taken a look at their car, which in both cases could have caused an electrical surge that caused the speedometer to go crazy.

Check out the simple reset solution in the video below, shown on a 2002 Chrysler Sebring. Other brands and models may have a similar solution.
