Comfortable driving position

One of the main elements of preparation for driving is the correct setting of the driver's seat. It should not be too close to the steering wheel, but at the same time, the correct installation should allow the driver of the vehicle to freely press the clutch pedal without bending the knee. It is best to position the back of the chair as upright as possible. Hold the steering wheel with both hands, ideally at a quarter to three.

Adjust the headrest

A properly adjusted head restraint can prevent neck and spine injuries in the event of an accident. Therefore, neither the driver nor the passengers should take it lightly. Remember the straps

Properly fastened seat belts protect against falling out of the car or hitting the passenger seat in front of us. They also transfer impact forces to stronger parts of the body, reducing the risk of serious injury. In addition, fastening seat belts is a prerequisite for the correct operation of the airbags, says Krzysztof Pela, an expert at the Renault Driving School.

A properly fastened chest strap passes over the shoulder and should not slip off it. The hip belt, as the name suggests, should fit around the hips and not be on the stomach.

Feet down

It happens that passengers in the front seats like to travel, resting their feet on the dashboard. However, this is very dangerous. In the event of an accident, the deployment of the airbag could cause serious injury. Also, twisting or lifting the legs interferes with the proper functioning of the seat belts, which can then roll up instead of resting on the hips.
