How to remove a gas tank on a VAZ 2107

There has never been a forced situation to replace the fuel tank on the VAZ 2107 and other Zhiguli models. But if someone needs useful information on carrying out this work, then below I will try to explain in more detail the whole essence of this simple repair.

We will need a tool such as:

•  socket head 10
• Ratchet handle or crank
• Phillips screwdriver
• Pliers

The first step is to remove the plastic casing, under which the gas tank itself is directly located. Usually it is attached very simply with self-tapping screws. We unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver. Then we disconnect the power wires from the fuel level sensor by simply pulling them up and removing them from the contacts:

Then we pull off the thin hose (not fuel) with our hand:

Now you can unscrew the clamp fastening bolt on the hose:

Having previously squeezed the hose with pliers, we turn it a little on the tube to pull it out of place:

And then we pull it off with our hand:

Next, we unscrew the bolt of the tightening plate, which fixes the gas tank on the VAZ 2107:

She will then fall down herself and give free access to remove the tank. It remains only to unscrew the filler cap and pull the tank out of its place, at the same time it will free itself from the rubber cover near the neck:

It is also worth noting that a negative black wire is screwed to the fuel level sensor, which can be removed by unscrewing one nut with pliers:

Now the fuel tank of the VAZ 2107 is completely free and can be freely removed from the seat in the body:

If you need to replace it with a new one, the owner will have to fork out a little, since the price of the tank in the store is about 2500 rubles. Although, if you wish, you can buy a used one in excellent condition at least two or even three times cheaper.
