How to remove the trunk lid on a VAZ 2115
Removing the trunk lid on a VAZ 2115 car is an extremely rare procedure. In most cases, this has to be done due to damage to this body part during its replacement. Also, some bodybuilders remove it when straightening the cover.
In order to remove the trunk lid on a VAZ 2115, it is enough to have a minimum of tools at hand:
- 13 mm head or wrench
- Ratchet or crank
Replacing the trunk lid with your own hands
Before starting to carry out this repair, it is necessary to open the trunk of the car and from the inside of it, disconnect all the power wires to the lamps of the rear lights. Through special technological holes in the lid, bring out all the wires. Shown below is the hole for the spoiler auxiliary brake light wiring:
And the rest of the wires through another hole!
Then it is necessary to unscrew two bolts of the VAZ 2115 trunk lid on each side to the levers. This is clearly demonstrated in the photo below.
The most convenient way to do this is with the ratchet handle and head.
After all the bolts on both sides are unscrewed, remove the cover with both hands, or with an assistant, simply lifting it up from the levers.
If necessary, we repair or replace the cover and install everything in the reverse order in its place! You can buy a new cover for 2115 at a price of 3000 rubles in a store, or from 1000 rubles for auto disassembly.
