More recently, xenon headlights were installed only on prestigious foreign cars, in addition, xenon was banned because such lighting could dazzle drivers of oncoming cars. However, high-quality optics from well-known brands have appeared on the market, and if you properly approach its configuration and installation, then the quality of lighting improves significantly.

Xenon and bi-xenon optics have a number of advantages over conventional halogen headlights and therefore it is becoming more and more popular. You can install it in special salons, and if you have the necessary knowledge and experience, then you can do it yourself, the main thing is that the optics be installed legally, otherwise you may face lengthy proceedings with traffic police officers.

Xenon installation procedure:

• first you need to remove the headlight housing, the old halogen lamps and protective covers from it, if you want to install bi-xenon that shines in the low and high beams, you will have to remove both protective covers of the old headlights;
• then xenon is put in place of the old lamps, and a small hole is made in the body of the headlight itself to output wires from xenon;
• it may turn out that the contacts from the ignition unit of the new optics will not fit the “chips” - standard connectors, in which case the contacts will have to be sharpened a little;
• the ignition unit is installed in such a position that the wires are not stretched, it is also desirable to place it away from the engine, some experts advise protecting the unit from water ingress with polyethylene, although this is not necessary;
• you need to carefully monitor the correct connection of the wires from the ignition unit, detailed instructions are always included with xenon optics, make sure that the instructions are in Russian - this is a guarantee that the purchased optics was certified in Russia;
• when the xenon lamps are firmly installed in the headlight unit, they are installed in place and closed with protective covers.

After you have replaced the optics, they must be properly adjusted so that the beam is parallel to the ground and the movement of the car. If you approach the headlight correction incorrectly, then your car will pose a serious danger to oncoming drivers on the highway.

When choosing a set of xenon optics, you should check whether it will fit your car. Pay attention only to certified products.
