How to drive so as not to spoil the car and yourself?

How to drive so as not to spoil the car and yourself? It seemed like a trivial question. But it is trivial only for those few who, with broad technical knowledge and good driving experience, know how the mechanisms of the car work and when the driver risks losing control of it.

However, for a large number of users, a car is another device offered by the civilized world. And although it is very easy to use a car these days, it does require some responsibility. It sounds scary, but we are guided by a rocket, which often weighs more than a thousand kilograms, and we can easily accelerate it to a speed of more than a hundred kilometers per hour. To make this possible and at the same time easier, cars have been undergoing constant metamorphosis for over a hundred years. Technologies, solutions and mechanisms are developing. Not so long ago, broadly understood electronics entered the automotive industry. All this makes you get used to the ease of driving.

However, from the beginning of the existence of "horseless carriages" to the present day, the most important and at the same time the most complex is the "mechanism" located between the back of the seat and the steering wheel. This is the driver himself. Everything depends on his skills, knowledge, experience, condition and, above all, responsibility. It is the driver who decides what speed he will develop, the start of overtaking in a given place, and many others that are no less important for safety.

Returning to the question in the title, if the driver does not care about the high quality of his skill, he can lead to a situation in which the car “breaks down” and, accordingly, he himself “breaks down”. After all, police reports are full of victims of accidents, despite the increasingly sophisticated active and passive safety systems.

How to drive so as not to spoil the car and yourself?A responsible driver, in addition to improving his skills, takes care of the technical condition of the car. Breakdowns while driving can, at best, stop the car on the side of the road, resulting in a late ride or a bad ride. Worse, if the breakdown affects the device or a significant part of it and leads to loss of control over the car. A speeding car and a broken brake system is a boring prospect. A wheel that falls off at a turn in the road leaves little chance of avoiding falling off the road. Years of almost “bald” tires and unexpected rain is also a very risky combination. In these cases, the consequences can be much more serious. Moreover, they often apply to passengers and other road users.

In a word, how we operate the car and how we take care of its technical condition is of great importance. I wonder how many drivers check the car, what is called “daily maintenance” in the driving course. The results of such a survey could surprise us a lot - after all, modern cars are so “reliable”. However, be aware that they also wear out.
