How To: Replace the front crankshaft oil seal on a GM 3.1L V6

Richpin's Auto Care section shows you how to replace a cam seal on a GM 3.1L V6 engine. Once the car is raised and securely jacked up, you will be taken through the first step which involves removing the V-ribbed belt from the engine. After removing the belt, the video shows how to remove the mudguard in the wheel next to the engine using a suitable tool. You will then remove the crankshaft pulley with a pulley puller, allowing you access to remove the seal. Richpin shows how to remove the old seal with a special tool or screwdriver and install a new seal in its place. The rest of the replacement steps are the inverse of the delete operation.
