Drain the liquid into the pan. Then tighten the drain plug until it is tight by hand. Use a ratchet wrench to tighten the drain plug. Wipe off excess transmission fluid with a rag. Insert a funnel into the filling hole. Add fresh fluid to the filler hole. Replace the dipstick and close the filler hole to complete the transmission fluid change.
