1 Uneven fading of paintwork

The sun's ultraviolet and infrared rays negatively affect the paintwork, causing the paint to fade. Any stain or dirt (such as leaves or bird droppings) will cause uneven color fading.

Of course, this process is lengthy. The color of the car will not change in one week. However, to prevent this from happening, in the summer it is necessary that the car visits the car wash more often - at least once a week.

2 Temperature changes

The interior, especially in darker cars, heats up quickly in summer when the car is in the sun for a long time and it gets very hot inside. When a person gets into a car, he immediately wants to turn on the climate system. However, this is wrong.

The reason is that the contrast temperature not only negatively affects human health, but is also extremely harmful to glass, plastic and leather upholstery. Thus, there is no need to turn on the air conditioner immediately after starting the engine.

To ventilate the cabin, it is better to use the power windows and lower the glass on all doors. This will cool them down and bring fresh air into the cabin. 3 Engine overheating

In summer, the engine overheats most often. This is especially true for old carburetor units. To avoid this, it is best to monitor the parameters of the motor, especially the cooling system, before starting heating.

Always keep an eye on the engine temperature sensor while driving. It is recommended to have at least a liter of antifreeze in the trunk (keep the unpacked container in an upright position, since the coolant is a little oily, so in a lying position it can leak out and damage the trunk upholstery).

If the engine overheats, stop immediately, let it cool for a few minutes, and then add antifreeze. To prevent the engine from boiling in a traffic jam, you can turn on the interior heating. The stove radiator will work as an additional cooling element.

4 Take care of the brakes

Friction during braking will heat up the pads and discs. In hot weather, overheating is the most common occurrence. For this reason, brakes should be used sparingly in hot weather. The best way to do this is to use motor-assisted braking.

5 Protecting the interior from direct sunlight
