Step 1. Connect different clamps.

The red clip connects to the positive (+) battery post. The black clip connects to the negative (-) battery post. The other two ends of the cables must not touch each other, as you risk overloading and completely destroying the battery. Do the same with the other car, the red clip on the + terminal and the black clip on the - terminal.

Step 2. Start the troubleshooting car

Step 3. Let it charge
