The Russian automotive industry has shown steady growth since the early 2000s. According to statistics, the Russian Federation ranks 11th in the world in terms of the number of vehicles produced.
Over the past 15 years, the number of automotive enterprises in the Russian Federation has increased significantly. This is not only the well-known VAZ, GAZ or KamAZ, many other models are successfully assembled and sold in our country: BMW, AUDI, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, etc.
AvtoVAZ
The automotive company from Togliatti is the leader in the production of cars in the Russian Federation. We list only those cars that are currently being assembled:

Avtotor (Kaliningrad)
This company was founded in 1996. Over the years, cars of the following brands were assembled here:

Cooperation with GM is currently suspended, but until 2012 they actively produced: Hammer H2, Chevrolet Lacetti, Tahoe and TrailBlazer. To date, the assembly of Chevrolet Aveo, Opel Astra, Zafira and Meriva, Cadillac Escallaid and Cadillac SRX continues.
Kaliningrad continues to cooperate with the Korean Kia:

The company, founded in 2002, first produced cars of its own design, but they did not gain much popularity, so they had to reorient themselves to the assembly of Chinese cars that were just appearing on the domestic market.

Volkswagen Russia
In Russia, cars of the German concern are assembled at two factories:
