What equipment is required to obtain a motorcycle license?

1- Required equipment

After the 2013 reform, in order to obtain licenses A, A1 and A2, it is necessary to have equipment suitable for driving a motorcycle. So it will no longer be a question of coming dressed anyway, if you want to get a license, you will need to respect the standards and equipment. Without this equipment, you will not be able to pass the permit under any circumstances, so do not take it lightly and buy everything you need. Your equipment will be checked several times by an examiner, and the suitability of your motorcycle equipment will be assessed on D-Day.

Also, some pieces of equipment take some time to adapt to make you feel comfortable, so the sooner you buy them, the sooner you will feel comfortable with your equipment.

Applicant's gloves must meet NF, CE or PPE criteria or be suitable for riding a motorcycle with reinforcement and wrist closure. To choose the right gloves, try several sizes until you find a pair of gloves that you feel comfortable in and provide good protection.

Pants are optional but highly recommended! It must be CE certified. You can come to the exam in thick trousers, but without shorts and capri pants. Note that there are protections on the joints, back and torso.

3- Exam day:

On D-Day, the examiner will check your equipment several times, if he finds a problem, he will advise you to correct the following exercises.
