shoe
	The jigsaw shoe is the metal base of the tool. It is sometimes referred to as a base plate or outsole. The shoe rests on the material being cut and helps ensure that the blade is at a fixed angle to the workpiece.
	The shoe of most jigsaws can be set at an angle so that the tool can make a beveled cut. The angle of the shoe can be changed by loosening the screw holding it in place or, if your tool has a toolless shoe adjustment, by releasing the shoe adjust lever. Blade

Blade clamp
	The jigsaw blade clamp holds the blade in position. The blade clamps of some jigsaws consist of one or two screws that are loosened and tightened with a hex wrench to hold the blade and lock it in place.
	However, keyless blade clamping systems are becoming more common, making changing jigsaw blades much easier and faster. Instead of being held in place by screws, the blade is fixed by a spring-loaded lever that engages or disengages to hold or release it.
Roller blade guide
	Above the shoe of the jigsaw is a roller blade guide that supports the blade during cutting. The blade is slotted between guides to ensure it stays at right angles to the workpiece and prevents it from bending.

Orbital dial
	When the jigsaw's orbital action is activated, the blade moves back and forth as well as up and down, resulting in a more aggressive cut.
