Choosing a car fragrance is a very subjective decision. Each driver may have their own preferences in this regard. However, there are a few things to consider before buying. For example, if our ailment is frequent headaches, including migraines, we should not focus on very intense smells. In this case, fragrances with adjustable aroma release are well suited. If we drive a lot, often getting up early in the morning or driving until late at night, the smell should not lull us to sleep, but refresh us. In this situation, choosing a fragrance similar to the one we use at home is not a very good decision.

A good car fragrance is kind of a must when we smoke while driving. The smell of tobacco smoke penetrates the upholstery, ceiling and other elements of the car. Therefore, it is worth looking for flavorings with odor-neutralizing properties. This also applies to other unpleasant odors, for example when transporting pets in a car. An odor neutralizer can also be a temporary solution in a situation where an unpleasant odor comes from the car's wind deflectors. Then, however, we should not stop at buying a fragrance. It is also worth trying a special air freshener for the ventilation ducts of the car and in a short time to clean the channels and disinfect the air conditioner (if the car is equipped with it) in a car repair shop.

When choosing a fragrance for a car, we must also take into account the appropriate type. In every car, we can hang a cardboard air freshener with an elastic band, but not in every car we will install a air freshener mounted in the ventilation grille (due to different types of grilles). Due to the fact that initially only one company made them, forming the paper in the shape of a Christmas tree, the term "scented Christmas tree" entered the everyday life of the automotive community. The disadvantage is low durability - the aroma with which the paper is impregnated evaporates quickly.

Other types of fragrances, also in the form of pendants, are fresheners in the form of a glass bottle and a bag of gel balls. Their advantage is that they are much more durable than scented Christmas trees. In the case of some glass bottles, we can adjust the intensity of the fragrance by unscrewing the cap more or less. The intensity and persistence of the fragrance also depend on the quality of the oil in the bottle. Gel balloon bags are also quite effective and durable solutions. The gel releases the aroma slowly, and when it weakens, it is enough to shake the bag several times so that the balls mix and enjoy the aroma for a long time. Gel fragrances also come in figurines with suction cups to stick to glass. This is a good solution if you do not like gadgets hanging in the car, set in motion when braking.

If we don't want to use hangers, we can opt for car air fresheners built into the car's ventilation grille. They usually contain a reservoir of scented oil placed in a plastic reservoir. In some fragrance models, the tank is interchangeable, so we do not need to buy the entire accessory every time. Then we save money and do not generate unnecessary garbage. The disadvantage of odors placed in ventilation grilles is that their odor release is largely dependent on the operation of the air supply system in the vehicle. On a warm day when the air flow is set to a high operating level, the fragrance may be too strong. However, some manufacturers have considered this problem and offer a separate adjustment of the intensity of the aroma on the device.

Car air fresheners installed in the cigarette lighter socket can be praised for their high efficiency and effectiveness. They require access to voltage, but therefore they are able to quickly fill the interior of the car with a pleasant aroma. Usually they also have intensity adjustment and are effective - the oil used in them lasts for a long time.

Car air fresheners can also be in a form that does not require gluing or fastening. An example would be car perfumes that come in a bottle, usually similar to standard perfumes. Some perfumes have a cap that gradually releases the fragrance, others have a sprayer that we use when we want to freshen up the car interior ourselves. The intensity of the aroma ensures high efficiency. We can use them temporarily, for example after transporting animals in a car.

It is also possible to use fragrances in the machine, closed in the form of a plastic screw-on container. By turning the lid, you can adjust the intensity of the aroma. Such products have a universal application. We can put them anywhere in the car, but also at home if we want.
