What type of gas should be used?

Most gas stations have three fuel grades listed by octane rating: 87 (regular/unleaded), 89 (plus), and 91 (premium). Check your vehicle owner's manual to find out what kind of gasoline the manufacturer requires for your vehicle. Using a lower grade than required can result in costly engine repairs in the future. Under no circumstances should diesel fuel be used in a gasoline engine.

The recommended gas for most vehicles is regular gas, and using premium gas won't do you any good. It won't make your car perform better, drive faster, increase mileage, or run cleaner.
