Castor oil in daily care - for skin, hair and nails

Castor oil is a versatile product. It is used in the food industry, but is most often associated with cosmetics. We can find it in shampoos, hair masks and nail oils. It is also available in pure form and can be applied directly to the skin, hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.

Benefits of using oil

Castor oil is a plant-based product that is extracted from castor bean seeds. This plant is very often grown in Polish gardens. In the wild, it can be found in India and Africa. The most important benefits of this product include: moisturizing properties, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

The benefits of the oil make it a frequently used ingredient for the production of massage olives, medicines, cosmetics and soaps. We can also successfully use pure oil for skin, hair or nail care. However, be moderate as it has a thick consistency and can clog pores in excess.

Applying oil to hair, eyebrows and eyelashes

The oil should be applied to the scalp, not to the entire length of the hair. Applying oil to this area will not only speed up hair growth, but also reduce excessive hair loss. It is important to note that this procedure is not suitable for everyone. Ricin can have a drying effect, so it is not recommended for people with dry scalp. It will be a salvation in case of excessively oily hair. Regular oiling of hair with oil will help to cope with this problem.

Castor oil can also be used for eyelashes. When we take care of the regularity, the hair will become darker, thicker and noticeably longer. Rub a small drop of oil in your fingers and spread over the eyelashes, or use a thoroughly washed mascara brush for this purpose.

We do the same thing when we want dark, thick brows. It is best to apply castor oil on your eyebrows before going to bed. The first effects will be visible only after a few weeks of use, but you should be patient.

Oil for skin and nails

Castor oil works great as an adjunct to anti-wrinkle products. First, it has a moisturizing and softening effect. In addition, it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, thereby slowing down the appearance of wrinkles or expression lines. We use the product as a face cream - preferably at bedtime. It will also be beneficial in the fight against acne. Ricinoleic acid in the composition has an antibacterial effect.

If stretch marks are your problem, oil treatment is worth a try. It is enough to rub it every day into areas of the body affected by stretch marks or scars. The effect will be noticeable in a few weeks. Regular use is very important. Only then will we provide the expected results.

Due to its moisturizing properties, the product can also be used for daily care of the whole body. Rub it especially on dry places on the body, such as heels or elbows. Then we minimize the tendency to cornification and cracking.

The oil works on your nails in a similar way. If your problem is dry skin on your hands or weak, brittle nails, regular use of the product will have a soothing, regenerating and strengthening effect. If you want to enhance the effect of the remedy, you can warm it up or wear cotton gloves for a dozen or so minutes.

Application of castor oil

We can also use this measure externally. Castor oil compresses can help cure headaches, stomach pain, and lower back pain. Then it must be heated and soaked in a towel or gauze. Put the compress on the affected area and leave to cool.

Castor oil is also widely used in medicine, but this is a separate issue. We encourage you to try the oil for yourself and its magical effects.
