Every car hidden in the Terminator's garage

Arnold, aka The Terminator, is a man who needs no introduction. Everyone knows him somehow! He was only 15 years old when he started lifting weights. In just 5 years, he became Mr. Universe, and at 23 he became the youngest Mr. Olympia! He still holds this record, almost 50 years later!

After huge success in bodybuilding, Arnold went to Hollywood, where his good looks and fame were a coveted asset. He quickly became a movie star, appearing in iconic films such as Conan the Barbarian and The Terminator. His acting career has been long and successful, and he still does occasional comedy or action films. Meanwhile, in the early 21st century, Arnold decided to enter the public service and run for election in California. His opinion on environmental issues and strong charisma helped him win two consecutive mandates, making him one of the most successful actors in public service.

But even the strongest person has weaknesses, and Arnold, like many others, is fond of cars. He is not Jay Leno, but he still owns a very respectable car collection. Some cars will surprise you, so let's move on!

19 Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster

SLS AMG is a car that has something to prove. Mercedes began making sports coupes after a long hiatus in the early 21st century with the SLR McLaren. It was a very fast machine with limited production speed. After that, they decided to make a successor to their legendary 300SL Gullwing from the 1950s. So the SLS was supposed to replace the SLR and bring back the spirit and beauty of the 50s.

Arnold bought the roadster version of the car, so it doesn't have the famous gullwing doors.

In addition, the car is slightly heavier than the coupe version, but still accelerates to 0 km / h in 60 seconds. Powered by their masterpiece, a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6.2 engine with 8 hp, the car sounds like a god of thunder. It is equipped with the 563-speed Mercedes SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission offered in various AMG models. Great package for driving down a winding California canyon road.

18 Excalibur

Arnold was seen driving the Excalibur, a car modeled after the 1928 Mercedes SSK. The retro car was introduced as a prototype to Studebaker in 1964, and production continued until 1990, when the manufacturer filed for bankruptcy. In total, about 3500 Excalibur cars were produced - it may seem like a little for 36 years of production, but this is almost 100 cars per year.

The Excalibur is powered by a 327 hp Chevy 300 engine. - a lot for a car with a curb weight of 2100 pounds. Maybe it was because of the performance that Mr. Olympia bought him? Or maybe because it's hard to find a car from the 20s or 30s in perfect condition? We're not sure, but it's something else, and as you'll see later on in this list, Mr. Terminator loves rare and different cars.

17 Bentley Continental Supersport

Superstars love Bentleys. Why? Maybe it's their style, presence on the road and uncompromising luxury. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a tough guy, but even he sometimes needs to relax in comfort and just be alone, thinking about things (or how to save the world from artificial intelligence). So he has a black Bentley Continental Supersports. It may not be the best color for California, but it looks so classy and sophisticated! This is not a street racing car. Arnold has a lot of faster cars in his garage, so we're pretty sure this car has never been driven hard.

16 Dodge Challenger SRT

Is anyone surprised that one of the most famous bodybuilders in the world has a muscle car? Of course not! By being an inspiration to generations of people training hard and playing the Terminator, certain expectations are formed in society about how you should look and what you should drive. Arnold probably didn't buy the Challenger because of this, but damn it suits him!

The brawny and aggressive looks are paired with the 6.4-liter V8 engine for the SRT version, so it's not just a pretty car to show off.

470 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque - not astronomical numbers, but still very fast. If the Terminator feels weak, he can always switch to more powerful versions of the Challenger, such as the Hellcat.

15 Porsche Turbo 911

Few things say I'm rich and successful better than driving a convertible Porsche around Los Angeles. It's a lifestyle and gosh, Arnold looks amazing! He has a Titanium Silver 911 Turbo Convertible with a red leather interior, an exquisite balance between extravagance and sophistication. Arnold can be (relatively incognito in the 911 and that's one of the reasons this car is such a great choice. The car has a great PDK gearbox and the power goes to all four wheels. It's very fast even in bad weather conditions, but as Smokey sings, “It never rains in Southern California.” Dry weather 0-60 time is 3.6 seconds and top speed is 194 mph The 911 is very capable, it's a great daily driver and it's a blast No wonder why Mr. Terminator bought it!

14 Hummer H1

Arnold is known for his love of HUMMER and Mercedes G-Class. It's easy to see why the action star loves big military-style cars, isn't it? Rumor has it that he loves the HUMMER so much that he owns one in every color on offer. We can't confirm these rumors, but one thing is certain - he has at least two HUMMER H1s! The HUMMER H1 is the road-legal civilian version of the HMMWV, known as the Humvee.

This is an American all-wheel drive military vehicle introduced in 1984 and used throughout the world.

The civilian H1 was released back in 1992. Arnold himself was used in marketing campaigns for the SUV - a great move given his roles and personality at the time. One of Arnold's HUMMERs is beige with a slanted back. It looks like one of the military versions, but there are many differences - doors, roof and interior.

13 Hummer H1 military style

Another Hummer H1 in Arnold's garage. He seems to like them so much! He's an action hero, of course, and driving a big green car sure brings back a ton of memories for him. This particular car is missing all four doors, just like the original military Humvee. It is equipped with large antennas, which are probably very important in the desert during a mission, but when driving around the city, there are simply too many of them. The car has a ground clearance of about 16 inches, which is more than enough.

Arnold was seen in this car when he gave a lift to his daughters. Chewing a cigar, wearing a military tracksuit and aviator sunglasses. He is definitely the kind of person you don't want to mess with! The Hummer may look very odd, but it's not the craziest car in Arnold's garage. In fact, it's not even close!

12 Dodge M37

You can only drive a military machine in the army, right? LIE! Terminator bought an old Dodge M37 military truck and registered it for street use! In fact, it is not very expensive and difficult, but it still requires a lot of passion and enthusiasm. Arnold obviously has both because he has been seen in Los Angeles in a pickup truck many times.

The pickup truck itself is a very old military vehicle used during the Korean War.

It was introduced as early as 1951 and was used by the US Army until 1968. The M37 has high and low range all wheel drive for a 4 speed gearbox. A simple post-war car for any weather and any terrain. We doubt Arnold uses it off-road, but he definitely can.

11 Hummer H2

The Hummer H1 is Arnold's weak point, but sometimes a man needs something a little more practical - or at least not as crazy. So what's the best? Hummer H2, probably! Compared to the H1, the H2 looks like a baby - shorter, narrower and lighter. It's closer to other GM products than the original H1, but let's be honest - an '80s military platform isn't quite right for building a civilian truck. H2 provides significantly more comfort than the original. Bose audio system, heated seats, cruise control, three-zone climate control and more that we now consider normal, but at the time of the release of H2 it was not. However, much has remained unchanged, such as excellent off-road performance and towing capabilities. Powered by a 6.0- or 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine and weighing around 6500 pounds, the H2 is a power hungry machine. It's not a problem for Arnold, but because he's so cool, he bought a second H2. And redid it!

10 Hummer H2 Hydrogen

Driving large, heavy trucks and even cars is almost always associated with poor fuel economy and a lot of pollution. But let's be honest - most people don't want to shrink down to a compact hatchback or anything like that. Today, Tesla is changing the game and almost every automaker can offer a hybrid or electric vehicle. But Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted an alternative fuel Hummer. So he made one!

While in an office in California, the state with the most stringent emissions regulations, Arnold put some pressure on himself.

Being green doesn't mean driving a Hummer around Los Angeles. So Arnold contacted GM and bought H2H, where the second "H" stands for hydrogen. The car is part of a GM program with an office to raise awareness of global warming and the possibilities of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

9 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

There are fast cars, there are fast cars, and there is the Bugatti Veyron. A miracle of technology created by the best minds in the automotive world. Pinnacle, masterpiece, or whatever you want to call it. It is equipped with an 8-liter four-cylinder W16 engine with 1200 hp. and more torque than a train. With great attention to detail, Bugatti has created a car that feels very luxurious and solid. Unlike a typical sports car, the Veyron is more like a GT cruiser - the most powerful GT cruiser in the world. Lap and race times are not what this car needs, but a sense of chance. He started a sixteen-cylinder engine, raced upside down, turned people's heads. Even a few seconds with the gas pedal depressed can lead to trouble! Acceleration to hundreds takes only 0 seconds, and the top speed exceeds 60 miles per hour. No wonder why the Terminator chose to own one of them.

8 Tesla Roadster

We all know that the former leader of California is a green thinker. Environmental issues are something he is ready to change, and buying an electric car is a serious statement and message to people. The Tesla Roadster was the first car in many ways - it was the fastest with a top speed of over 124 mph. It was the first car to have a range of over 200 miles and was the first to feature a lithium-ion battery. At the time it was only a roadster and it was a niche car! Two seats and a lightweight body are the recipe for a sports car, although the car was not light because of the batteries. However, the 0-60 time is 3.8 seconds - very impressive for the first model of a new brand using new technologies! A few months ago, Elon Mast launched his Tesla roadster into space. Will we ever see Arnold's car fly into space?

7 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

Arnold was a star from a young age. As mentioned above, at 20 he was a world class bodybuilder! So it's no surprise that he had cool cars long before he became a Terminator. El Dorado Biarritz is a perfect example of how cool the 50s and 60s were. The car is very long, with tail fins and a fist-sized Cadillac logo.

Everything in the car is big.

Long hood, huge doors (only two), trunk - everything! It's also heavy - curb weight is around 5000 pounds - a lot by any measure. It is powered by a massive 8 or 5.4 liter V6 engine and the transmission is a four-speed automatic. It must be very cool to ride it, especially at sunset. This is the car that Bruce Springsteen sings about in Cadillac Pink, and it's about as rock and roll as it gets.

6 Bentley Continental GTC

Another luxurious two-door for driving on a sunny day. Unlike the Cadillac, it's much, much faster! The weight is about the same, but the GTC is powered by a 6-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine with 552 hp. and 479 Nm of torque. This is enough to accelerate to hundreds in less than 0 seconds! It's the perfect combination of sportiness and comfort, with a host of options to enhance your driving experience. This is a rather expensive car - a new one costs about $60. This is a lot of money, but let's not forget that Arnold is a world-famous movie star and a millionaire. And you will definitely get what you paid for - only high-quality leather and precious woods in the cabin. From the outside, it's not the most inspiring design, but it still has presence and elegance.

5 Tank M47 Patton

via nonfictiongaming.com

Okay, it's not a car. It's not an SUV or a truck. And certainly not a motorcycle. It's a tank! Arnold is known for his action movies and bodybuilding career. There is no doubt that the tank is the vehicle that suits it. He can't go grocery shopping with a tank, but he does something better - he uses it to raise money for his own charity! He does tank stunts, basically wrecking things and filming them. As he told The Sunday Times in Driving magazine: “It's simple. We crush things with a tank and say: “Do you want to crush something with me? Come out. Submit $10 and you can enter the draw." We have raised over a million dollars this way. This is probably the best thing anyone has ever done with a tank!

4 Mercedes G class roundabout

Arnold loves Hummers, but there is one European SUV that also has a place in his heart - the Mercedes G-Class. For example, the Hummer is based on a military vehicle from the late 70s. But that's where the similarities end - the G-Class is much smaller, offered with different engines and much more luxurious options. However, it's not the most economical car, and it's by no means green - so he decided to own the first all-electric G-Class!

Kreisel Electric converted a V6 diesel engine to an electric motor.

To make it even more interesting, they installed a 486 hp motor, making the car much faster. It has the performance figures of a G55 AMG without any CO2 emissions. What can I say - modifying cars is one thing, but electrifying one of the most iconic SUVs in the auto industry is simply brilliant.

3 Mercedes Unimog

Mercedes Unimog is one of the most versatile trucks in the world, as the name suggests - UNIMOG stands for UNIversal-MOtor-Gerät, Gerät is the German word for device. Nothing more to say, the Unimog is used in both military and civilian applications and the first of these appeared in the 1940s. Arnold's Unimog isn't the biggest or most hardcore on the market, but that's understandable - the 6×6 version will be impossible to park and very difficult to drive around town. Small vehicles look like high rise Unimogs and you really don't want to stand your ground. The car is offered with engines ranging from 156 to 299 hp. We don't know what kind of engine Arnold's Unimog has, but even the weakest one provides great torque for towing, hauling heavy objects or off-roading.

2 Mercedes 450SEL 6.9

When it comes to luxury limousines, there are only a few brands that can compete with Mercedes. And if you go back to the 70s, then they are not! The 450SEL 6.9 was the flagship of the three-pointed star when Arnold was a young bodybuilder. It was the first Mercedes to be equipped with Citroen's hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension. Thanks to this suspension, the almost 2-ton car rode well and at the same time was very maneuverable and pleasant to drive. It may seem normal in 2018, but in the 1970s, you either had a well-handling sports car or a terrible-handling luxury car. There was no compromise. The 450SEL engine was a 6.9-liter V8 petrol with 286 hp. and 405 lb-ft of torque. Most of that power was killed by the 3-speed automatic transmission. However, there was no better option then.

1 Mercedes W140 S600

After the 450SEL W116, Mercedes released the W126 S-Class and then the W140. This is one of the most iconic and successful Mercedes models ever created! Released in 1991, it changed the idea of what a Mercedes should look like. The old boxy design is a bit rounder, the car itself is bigger, and there are a lot of new options. Power doors, rear parking sensors, ESC, double glazing and more. It was a marvel of engineering and perhaps one of the most complex cars ever built.

The W140 was indestructible, with some examples having traveled over a million miles.

It's not hard to see why Arnold bought one - he was a movie star at the time, and the best Mercedes was perfect for him. The S600 was equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 402 hp. More power, fitted with a modern 5-speed automatic, gave the car much better performance and fuel economy than its old 450SEL. It was a very high-tech gear and a status symbol - and many other well-paid stars had one.
