Kimsi, a license-free electric minivan designed for wheelchair users

Kimsey's main vocation is to address the issue of mobility autonomy for a person with reduced mobility. This first electric minivan is also a testament to Ellectra's great innovation capabilities.

What you need to know about Kimsi

Kimsi is an electric minivan available from the age of 14. A driver's license is not required to use it. This electric car claims a range of 80 to 100 km. It stands out from the crowd in that it is completely designed to accommodate a wheelchair at the cabin level. There is also a very simplified access. When you open the tailgate, you see the ramp automatically drops to the ground. In addition, Kimsi is offered, including an access system, at a price of 23 euros. This price should be determined by the fact that its purchase gives access to financial assistance related to compensation for disability. Employees and job seekers can also take advantage of another form of funding.

Vendée electric car

Kimsi wants to be 100% Vendée (or almost). It is actually assembled in workshops located in Fontenay-le-Comte. 80% of Ellectra's suppliers are also located in the surrounding region.

Various possible configurations

The practicality really lives up to the purpose with Kimsey. Indeed, this electric minivan allows for various possible configurations in terms of capacity. This is mainly the result of different cab and rear seat layouts. We can see in each of the two seats a car, a wheelchair, or an ordinary seat.
