What it is?
TN VED EAEU is a commodity nomenclature for conducting foreign economic activity on the territory of the EAEU. The code from this document directly includes ten digits. The following algorithm is used for decryption:
- the first four digits of the code indicate that the product belongs to one of the groups;
- the next six digits specifically identify the product according to the name.
As an example, we can cite motor oil, the TN VED code of which is prescribed as 2710198200 and 3403199000.
Knowing the correct classification of goods, it is possible to calculate the amount of payments in the process of customs clearance, as well as what mandatory documents will have to be provided to authorize the import of products.
The main rule for determining the group of goods according to the TN VED
In order to classify products in the TN VED, there are several important rules and features for each product. However, the main provisions of the classification are the following parameters:
- Any name of a subgroup, section or group of goods is given solely for the convenience of using the nomenclature.
- When classifying products in the nomenclature for legal purposes, it is necessary to rely on the text of the heading, as well as the corresponding notes that may go to the group or section, unless these texts provide otherwise.
Unfortunately, checking engine oil by a barcode will not provide information on the name of the product in the FEACN.
OKND code 2
In order to classify products manufactured on the territory of the Russian Federation, there is a national classifier of goods called OKPD 2. This document spells out all-Russian standards that are part of a unified system of standardization and assignment of unique codes for product information related to the social and technical and economic spheres. The data contained in this document can be used to classify goods in any field of activity.
The current NLA was approved 4 years ago. This document has replaced the identical classifiers that have been in force since 1993 and 2007. And employees of the Ministry of Economic Development worked on the creation of updated documentation.
The all-Russian classifier is based on the structuring of information in accordance with the statistical classification of goods by type of activity that has been operating on the territory of the EAEU since the release of the previous version of the document. By the way, codes were transferred from it, up to the sixth digit, as well as descriptions of products corresponding to these codes. However, there are also such product names for which the features will be reflected by changing the groupings based on the classification in force in the territory of European countries.
Of the features of OKPD 2, a significant increase in the level of detail should be noted, since this document includes 21 sections against 17, which were in the NLA of 2007. In addition, the number of groupings was reduced by half, and the letters that denote the sections of the classifier do not take part in the coding of goods.
