Yaroslav Chervonko solemnly said goodbye to the uniform after more than 40 years.

According to the military ceremony, the commander of the BLMW, Cdr Dipl. drank. Yaroslav Chervonko made his farewell flight while sitting at the helm of the Mi-14PL anti-submarine helicopter with tail number 1005, on which he began his military career as a pilot. During the flight, the BLMW commander, saying goodbye to the uniform, flew over the Gdynia-Babe Doly airport and thanked the air traffic services for all the years of cooperation. Yaroslav Chervonko, after 40 years, 6 months and 12 days of service in the structures of naval aviation, said goodbye to the brigade banner and uniform. Starting the transfer of command ceremony, Commander Chervonko reported to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Yaroslav Mika, that he had transferred the duties of commander of the aviation brigade of the Polish Navy. Having received the reports, General Yaroslav Mika thanked the commander-in-chief, who said goodbye to his uniform. Jarosław Czerwonko for many years of service as a pilot and professional officer, holding a number of official positions, including Commander of the BLMW, which he has held since 2018, awarding him the Air Cross for services to the President of the Republic of Poland. Commander Czerwonko received another award from the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Raimund Andrzejczak, who awarded the outgoing BLMW commander with an honorary white weapon - the Honorary Saber of the Polish Army. On behalf of the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, the award was presented by the representative of the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, Colonel. Lukasz Andrzejewski-Popov.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces thanked comm. Yaroslav Chervonko for all the years of service, setting the BLMW command method and full readiness to perform assigned tasks as a model. Commander Chervonko thanked everyone who contributed to his personal and aviation development and summed up the enormity of the tasks he had to face as commander of the BLMW. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Chervonko, on the orders of General Mika, the representative orchestra of the MV performed "Happy Birthday" to the honorary hero of the day.

Dipl. drank. Yaroslav Chervonko graduated from the Higher Officer Aviation School in 1984 as a lieutenant engineer and helicopter pilot. After graduating from the "Eaglet School" in Deblin, he was transferred to a unit in Darlowo, where he began his career as a military pilot at the controls of a Mi-14PL helicopter. For 19 years he served as a pilot, crew commander, key commander, commander of an anti-submarine helicopter (ASW) squadron. During the formation of the 29th air squadron, he was appointed deputy commander. At that time, he participated in numerous national and international exercises and air shows, demonstrating the pilot capabilities of the Mi-14PL. Experimental flights were also carried out to develop new methods of combat use, including the first time in Polish aviation that a MU-90 torpedo was dropped.

In 2004, he was assigned to the Naval Command (DMW) in Gdynia, where he took the position of a specialist in the Maritime Rescue Directorate. Less than a year later, he became a senior specialist in the aviation department of the DMV, and then deputy chief of aviation of the Navy. In 2011-2013, as the chief of aviation of the Navy, he participated in numerous conferences and events on the acquisition of helicopters and patrol aircraft of a new type for naval aviation. Under his leadership, the "Instruction for the organization of flights from the decks of the ship" was developed.

After the reform of the command and control system in the Polish Armed Forces, he assumed the duties of Chief of the Helicopter Aviation Division of the High Command of the Armed Forces in Warsaw. One of the main tasks in this position was to lead the process of aviation training conducted by helicopter aviation in interaction with the Ground Forces, the Navy, special forces and serving in the maritime (SAR) and air rescue (ASAR) system.

Commander Yaroslav Chervonko received his diploma and postgraduate studies at the Naval Academy in the field of management and command. He flew more than 3060 hours in the air, more than 2800 of them at the controls of Mi-14PL helicopters. While studying at WOSL, he flew TS-11 Iskra, SBLim-2, Lim-5 and Mi-2 helicopters. Conducts a master class on piloting a helicopter. During his service in aviation, he received the qualification of a test pilot of the first class and an instructor pilot on Mi-14PL helicopters.

During his service he was repeatedly distinguished and awarded. In addition to departmental medals, he was awarded the Icarus statuette and the title of Honored Military Pilot. In 2014, for outstanding service in the service, he was awarded the "Honorary Sword of the Polish Armed Forces" by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

By the decision of the Minister of National Defense of April 1, 2015, he was appointed Deputy Commander of the BLMZ. On June 11, 2018, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, he instructed the deputy commander of the naval aviation brigade comr. dipl. drank. Yaroslav Chervonko, acting commander of the BLMW. By the decision of the Minister of National Defense of October 12, 2018, Commander Chervonko was appointed commander of the BLMV, which he held until March 26, 2021.
