Compressor oil KS-19

Oil production technology KS-19

Compressor oil KS-19 is produced from mineral raw materials. This is a sour oil previously prepared by selective purification. Additives are not used by manufacturers. Therefore, such products are often referred to as the first class of compressor oils.

The advantages of this manufacturing technology are that there are practically no sulfur fractions and oxygen compounds in the finished lubricant. This increases the anti-friction and sealing properties of the oil. Due to which, for example, in comparison with PAG 46, these products provide maximum tightness inside the system, and specifically in areas of increased friction.

Main Specifications

The following properties of KS-19 should also be highlighted:

  • Sufficient antioxidant performance that prevents the formation of corrosion.
  • The low viscosity of the oil, due to which it penetrates into the system faster than analogues and allows the compressor to enter the operating mode almost instantly.
  • The absence of compressed air inside the compressor during operation has a positive effect on reducing friction and preventing the formation of deposits.
  • The thermal stability of KS-19 guarantees the operability of the device throughout the entire period of operation.

Manufacturers prescribe the following technical characteristics of the lubricant:

Viscosity (measuring the indicator at a temperature of 100 °FROM)From 18 to 22 mm2/c
Acid numberNo
ash contentNot more than 0,01%
CokingDoes not exceed 1%
water contentLess than 0,01%
Flash pointFrom 250 degrees
congelation pointAt -15 degrees
Density0,91-0,95 t / m3

These performance characteristics are interpreted by GOST 9243-75, which also corresponds to other representatives of compressor oils, for example, VDL 100.

Relevance and areas of use of COP-19

In modern equipment, in which oil-type compressors are the basis, specialized lubrication is used. There, due to the temperature difference in winter, there is an increased load on rubbing parts. Only KS-19 can ensure the stability of such systems. Therein lies its relevance.

Lubricants can be used:

  • in compressor units used to compress air;
  • in single- and multi-stage units that operate even without preliminary gas cooling;
  • in blowers, where contact of all lubricants with air masses is noted.

In industrial applications, oil is used, packaged in barrels of 200-250 liters. If you are not satisfied with the price and KS-19 will be used for non-commercial, non-industrial purposes, it would be more expedient to buy grease in 20-liter canisters.
