According to research conducted by independent experts, the viscosity of the oil is selected in accordance with the technical characteristics of the car. Minimal viscosity, such as in PAG 46 compressor oil, helps to quickly bring lubricant to the piston and cylinder walls. There it forms a thin film, which, on the one hand, will protect the parts from friction, and on the other hand, will not interfere with the functionality of the compressor. Basically, the presented line of oils is relevant to use in cars of the European market. But for representatives of the American or Korean auto industry, products like VDL 100 are suitable.
PAG 46 is a fully synthetic product. Its additives are complex polymers that provide lubricating and antioxidant properties.

The main advantages:
- excellent lubricating properties with low viscosity of the product;
- has an excellent cooling effect;
- provides and maintains optimal sealing;
- has sufficient antioxidant capacity.
Applications
It should be noted that PAG products are not recommended for use in electric compressors of hybrid cars. This is not an insulating product. PAG 46 compressor oil is mainly used in the operation of mechanically driven machine air conditioners. It is also used in piston or rotary type compressors.
PAG 46 is considered to be a highly hygroscopic product and therefore should not be mixed with refrigerants that do not meet the R134a label. It should be stored only in closed packaging to avoid contact with air and moisture. If there is a possibility of water getting into the lubricant, it is better to use a different series of oil, for example, KS-19.
