Compressor oil VDL 100
What is the purpose of the VDL 100?
This compressor oil, as described by its manufacturers, for example, Rosneft, is intended for:
- To protect compressors from premature wear.
- To improve the starting performance of equipment in unstable weather conditions.
- To prevent coking.
- To exclude the possibility of "aging" of parts and mechanisms.
Oil for screw and piston compressors
VDL 100 is used, for example, from the Ravenol line in the following types of equipment:
- Piston and rotary compressors, both mobile and stationary.
- Circulation systems that operate at high temperatures.
- Other devices that are subject to strict requirements regarding temperature and pressure conditions (for which advanced consumables are intended, for example, TNK oils).
If, when using a compressor, there is a possibility of contact of parts with moisture, it is possible to replace the presented line of lubricants with an analogue - KS-19.
Description of the composition and main characteristics
Compressor oil VDL 100 is produced from mineral paraffin components with the addition of ashless additives. This composition forms the following main characteristics of the lubricant:
- Resistance to oxidation and the formation of corrosive deposits on parts, which is comparable in properties to such an analogue as PAG 46.
- Anti-seize characteristics: the oil ensures that due to increased friction in the compressors, scuffing, sharp edges, and burrs will not form.
- Water separating properties that prevent contact of metal parts with moisture.
- Prevents foaming and deposit formation.
- Low tendency to carbon formation, which allows not only to prevent the formation of deposits, but also to remove them from pistons and cylinders.
These advantages are made possible by the following parameters, which the VDL 100 complies with:

This line of oils, including from the manufacturer Fubag, complies with the following specifications - DIN 51517 for groups VBL and VCL. Many companies that manufacture and service machine tools, such as ALUP and CompAir, issue approvals for VDL 100 as a consumable that meets their internal requirements and quality systems.
