Lancia Imperiale concept by Cardoso

Lancia has been trying to overcome the crisis for many years. Unfortunately, recent attempts to sell redesigned Chrysler designs with the Italian brand's logo have not brought the expected results.

Currently owned by the Fiat Lancia concern, it has many models in history that have become a real breakthrough in the automotive world. Cars such as the Flavia Coupe, Stratos or Fulvia are now highly prized by collectors. However, over the past two decades, the cars of this brand have definitely lost the prestige that they enjoyed in the 70s and 80s.

One of the independent designers, David Cardoso, disappointed with the current situation of Lancia, decided to present his vision of Thema - the Imperiale concept. “When Lancia introduced the new Thema, which is actually an updated Chrysler 300C, I was very disappointed. I believe that this brand has lost its identity and the design of the current models in no way follows the traditions of Italian designers,” Cardoso said.

In its design, Cardoso referred to the body shape of the Lancia Gamma Berlin, produced in the second half of the 70s, and the name Imperiale, in turn, comes from a series of luxurious Chrysler models.
