The most popular are sensors that work using high-frequency sound waves. Such devices are equipped with several (from 2 to 8 sensors), which, after installation, should not be covered by any body elements. Therefore they are fixed 
at the very rear of the car is the rear bumper. Often, an appropriate drill (cutter) is added to the set, with which holes of the desired diameter should be drilled in the bumper. You can also find kits equipped with sensors glued to the bumper that don't require drilling.
Reversing sensors using electromagnetic waves are also available. Then the sensors are in the form of a tape that is glued to the inside of the bumper. The sensors are attached to the bumper by screwing or using the supplied adhesive mounting tape. Often the kit includes bushings for correcting the position of the sensor in the bumper. They need to be placed very accurately so that there is no distortion in the readings.
Some kits also include a miniature camera. It can be fixed in the bumper or under the bumper or behind the rear window, which is not the best solution, because. the trunk may partially block the field of view of such a camera.
How to assemble
The cables from the sensors are introduced into the trunk, preferably through blind technological holes or the bumper attachment point. The control unit can also be placed in the trunk. The cables to the buzzer must be routed inside the passenger compartment, which is easiest to attach under the rear window. You can also attach a display showing the distance to the obstacle here, because when reversing, the driver still looks out the rear window. The LCD display, which schematically displays the position of the vehicle in relation to the obstacle, is conveniently mounted on the dashboard, which requires appropriate wiring.
The most convenient way is to connect the reverse sensor to a lamp signaling the inclusion of a reverse gear, so that it will be activated only when this gear is engaged. 
Installing a reverse sensor in a car with a built-in power bus can be a little tricky. In this case, the independent installation of such a device is practically out of the question - this work should be entrusted to an authorized service center.
How much is it
New vehicle installation services are best performed at authorized workshops or directly at the dealer. This avoids problems in case of incorrect connection to the electrical system and possible loss of warranty. As a rule, car dealers offer several of these devices in car dealerships, and the installation itself costs more than PLN 200, depending on the type of equipment purchased. For example, the operation of a 4-sensor reversing sensor in a Fiat Panda costs PLN 366, while in the case of a Ford Focus it costs PLN 600. In general, that is, a sensor with 4 sensors attached to the Focus costs about PLN 1300.
There are several dozen models of various types of reversing sensors on the market. While installing them shouldn't be a hassle, it's worth leaving the job to the experts.
