Coronavirus in Poland. How to refuel a car safely?

Coronavirus in Poland. How to refuel a car safely? The use of the car involves its refueling. How to fuel your car safely during the coronavirus pandemic? It is worth remembering the basic rules.

When you are at a gas station, it is recommended to use disposable gloves. If possible, it is worth filling the tank to the top so as not to return for fuel in the near future. A self-service station or one that offers to pay for fuel through an app is a good idea.

 – If there are employees at the station, keep an appropriate distance from the employee and pay with a contactless card or mobile phone. After that, you need to thoroughly wash your hands or disinfect them with a special skin disinfectant, which should always be with you in the car, - comments the head doctor of Skoda Yana Parmova.

General advice for drivers. To reduce the risk of contracting the coronavirus, we must:

  • keep a safe distance from the interlocutor
  • use non-cash payments (payment by card);
  • remember to cover your nose and mouth
  • both when refueling the car, and when using various buttons and keyboards, door handles or handrails, disposable gloves should be used (remember to throw them in the trash after each use, and not wear "spare" ones);
  • if we have to use touch screens (capacitive) that respond to open fingers, then every time we use the screen, we must disinfect our hands;
  • wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water or disinfect them with a 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
  • if possible, bring your own pen with you;
  • it is worth regularly disinfecting the surfaces of mobile phones;
  • we must practice cough and breath hygiene. When coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue – dispose of the tissue in a closed trash can as soon as possible and wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect them with an alcohol-based hand rub.
