Cowboy: Belgian e-bike sold in France

The online-only Cowboy electric bike is now on sale in France, where it is priced at € 1990.

So far limited to the Belgian market only, the Cowboy opens internationally, where it can be ordered in three new markets: Germany, France and the Netherlands. European expansion was made possible by a fundraising of € 10 million, which allows the startup to gain new momentum.

Founded by former Take Eat Easy directors, the startup aims to differentiate itself in the electric bike market by offering a model that combines design and technological innovation. The connected device is unlocked using the application installed on the user's smartphone and includes a GPS device that allows you to determine its location at any time.

Designed by its designers as a model dedicated to urban riders, the Cowboy electric bike weighs just 16,1 kg including battery. The battery, removable and built into the frame, weighs 2,4 kg, carries 360 Wh of energy and provides up to 70 kilometers of battery life on a single charge. Located on the rear wheel, the motor develops 250 watts of power and 30 Nm of torque. In accordance with current European legislation, the assistance is automatically deactivated at a speed of 25 km / h.

As for the bicycle part, the model is equipped with disc brakes and a belt drive, which reduces the risk of derailment.
