Inside, surprisingly, given the course of the roofline, there is quite a lot of space. Even if there is a tall driver behind the wheel, the passenger in the back seat will not have blood in his legs, and there will be enough space above his head. The designers in charge of the interior are given much less freedom as the cabin is done in typical Audi style, with only a few decorative touches to break the rather monotonous feel. Of course, this also has its advantages, as it provides the highest level of ergonomics, and the impeccable workmanship does not deviate from the highest standards of the brand. Plus, from a practical standpoint, the little Q2 is an even more useful car than it sounds. You'll also find ISOFIX anchorages on the front passenger seat, so the Audi toddler can accommodate up to three child seats. The rear seat can be folded down in a ratio of 40:20:40, and therefore the initially slightly sparsely dosed 405 liters of luggage can be increased to a satisfactory 1.050 liters.
Choosing a turbocharged petrol engine will give you more fun, the most powerful turbodiesel comes into play if you measure all-wheel drive, and the 1,6-liter turbodiesel in the tester's nose represents a kind of "middle way" in motorization. such a machine. Even the driving experience of the Q2 with this unit is to be expected: the car easily follows the speed of movement, but does not expect lightning-fast deviations. The roar of the engine is quite well muffled, the operation is quiet, and the consumption is small. Working with a six-speed manual transmission is great in every way. Overall, however, driving the Q2 can be quite fun as the chassis is very well tuned. You could even say that it delivers more driving pleasure than the A3. Body lean is low due to the elevation, steering wheel-to-wheel communication is excellent, and the lightweight design translates into cornering sequences when the vehicle's direction needs to be changed quickly.
It's understandable that Audi went a little outside the box with the Q2, but of course we didn't expect it to deviate from its pricing policy. A kid like this will mostly cost just under 30k, but we know full well that Audi's list of accessories is as long as their longest model.
