Short test: BMW 320i xDrive Gran Turismo

Don't try too hard to recognize the changed shape: the front of the car has been slightly improved, it is now more aggressive and, above all, the headlights have been changed to LED technology. Thus, the GT became closer to other sibling versions of this class, as the progress was reflected in the BMW reports. You will only notice the differences if you park next to the parking lot with the old version of the troika and preferably during the day, otherwise you will miss them. Maybe we're not a big BMW fan? They wouldn't say.

What does he offer now? Superb comfort, an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive - especially when you consider that under the hood is a 135 kilowatt gasoline engine. What doesn't it offer? While we got this at the end of the 2016 season, when the roads were already slippery, there is no rear-wheel drive or manual transmission here, which would be the main entertainment on the road. All-wheel drive in the Sport+ program (unlike Sport, Comfort, and ECO PRO) assists rear entry into corners with little rear end slip. They say that modern electronics are safer, but we say that an experienced driver will still be happier if he is given at least some driving freedom. That's why the test, despite top-notch 4x4 shifter automation, is still fun enough to make you smile if you dare.

But the spaciousness will not disappoint. The already previous GT 3 series is truly luxurious in both the front and rear seats (attention to 4824 millimeters in length, which is about 200 millimeters longer than the other members of the 3 class, and an individual wheelbase) due to increasingly demanding customers ... especially in China, Germany and the United States, too, flirt more with the five than with the three. The materials are better, the test GT also had the latest BMW Navigation Professional system, which proved itself this week. The combination of coupe, sedan and wagon shape means that despite the somewhat unusual shape, there is still a lot of space in the boot: with the base 520 liters, you will never be disappointed, only the sliding tailgate does not allow for such ease of use. I wonder if the skis fit easily into it? Go!

There was so much equipment in the test BMW 320i xDrive Gran Turismo that we were dizzy with a thorough examination of the list. Active headlights with automatic switching between high and low beam, multiple cameras for car inspection, head-up screen, smart key, electric tailgate, lane departure assistance, critical traffic sign recognition, etc. more demanding, although this also increases the price of the car. We also mentioned that the front seats (leather, shroud, extra heating, and specially adjustable seat parts) are excellent, and is the steering system with the extra paddle wheels worth the money?

So don't get angry if you don't distinguish it from the old one at a glance. Anyone who can buy it regularly (to grow with their offspring) and drive a car knows what to expect. In fact, some owners are even silent, so as not to quickly find out from the neighbors.
