Short test: Hyundai i30 Wagon 1.6 CRDi HP DCT Style

An automatic dual-clutch transmission and a 1,6-liter turbo diesel mean, above all, a higher level of comfort. Despite the automatic transmission, consumption is not excessive: it is between seven and eight liters per 100 kilometers in dynamic driving, and on a standard circle, which is always the best indicator of consumption, it was 6,3 liters per 100 kilometers. The robotic gearbox works smoothly, shifting gears smoothly without worrying about squeaking when it's time to shift up or down. A good 136 "horsepower" engine helps him a lot, which ensures that there is always enough power, whether for slower city driving, when there is enough to dynamically shift gears, just by gently pressing the accelerator pedal.

But at the same time, there is enough power reserve and gears to dynamically overtake on a long descent or on the track, where speeds are slightly higher. Thus, when viewed from the driver's seat, the ride is effortless. The steering wheel lies comfortably in the hands, and all buttons are within reach of the fingers or hands. Also commendable is the well-functioning set of communications equipment (telephone, radio, navigation), in short, everything that can be found on a quality seven-inch LCD screen. Comfort is the common denominator of the entire Hyundai i30 Wagon: the seats are comfortable, well padded, and there is enough room for the family to travel comfortably. It can only get stuck if you are really tall, i.e. more than 190 centimeters, but in this case, it might be better to look for another Hyundai model.

There is enough space not only for passengers of average height, but also for a large amount of luggage. With a volume of slightly more than half a cubic meter, the trunk is large enough for travelers, if five of them go somewhere further, but when you knock down the back bench, this volume rises to a good one and a half. As a curiosity, Hyundai has also provided extra storage space at the bottom of the trunk where you can store smaller items that might otherwise dance around the trunk. For the price of 20 thousand, taking into account the discount, you will get many cars of the lower middle class, with a very good engine and an automatic transmission that will pamper you. With decent driving performance that easily competes with established German competitors, and with plenty of room for a small family, the Hyundai i30 Wagon offers a very good package.
