Short test: Peugeot RCZ 1.6 THP VTi 200

Well, the Peugeot RCZ has absolutely nothing to do with North American basketball, but if we look at it and analyze it in more detail, of course, through the lens of the automotive industry, we would fully deserve the MVP award. Especially among the representatives of his brand. In addition, at the presentation of the RCZ model (about three years ago) Peugeot himself declared that this is the best Peugeot. I may offend someone, but with that name, the Peugeot RCZ is probably still standing today. As well as the automobile MVP among Peugeot.

Of course, it is very important how we look at the Peugeot RCZ. This is irrelevant from a usability point of view. Although his birth certificate says 2 + 2 under the heading "places", this is almost (not) possible. When arranging the driver's seat, there is very little space left behind his seat, or rather nothing. So this Peugeot RCZ is for two passengers or four, but nobody likes it. Moreover, the last two should not be very high (even on average), because they will constantly rest their head against the rear window.

Even though this one is quite curved, higher right where the heads might be, trust me, it's not curved because of that! But we don't consider coupes, especially sportier ones, as rational cars because there really isn't much room for them in the back. So it's best like this: the Peugeot RCZ is a great car for two passengers, in an emergency (but really in an emergency) it can carry four. Both of you will love it! Namely, in all French charm, perfected by Austrian precision - the Peugeot RCZ is produced at Magna Steyr's Austrian plant in Graz. If we're being a little sarcastic: I hope it's not because of the Magna Peugeot RCZ that it's the best Peugeot?

In short, keep up: from a design point of view, what such a car should be. A low roof and a strongly rounded line, a long nose and a not too short rear end, and the wheels are pressed into the ends of the body. The cabin is mostly leather-wrapped, with rich standard equipment and ergonomics to suit even slightly taller drivers.

But there is no love without a moving heart. Under the hood is just a 1,6-litre petrol engine, assisted by a turbocharger to the point where the resulting total output is around 200 horsepower. It's enough! Although the Peugeot RZC is not a very light car (check it out) and weighs almost a ton and 300 kilograms, there is enough power and torque to make the RCZ a real toy for the knowledgeable person. It accelerates decisively but continuously, the transmission is perhaps the biggest drawback of the car, but all Peugeots have it even worse, the position on the road is above average, the brakes are excellent.

So in many ways it's good, in most it's excellent, and the result is an MVP! However, it's true that MVPs are the highest paid players in basketball, and so it's clear that Pejoycek doesn't come cheap either. But for every euro paid, it's really a lot, yes!

  • The Peugeot RCZ is a car that serves its purpose. It causes envy, steals lustful smiles and fascinates with its shape. Understandably, anyone who knows how much it costs may be sarcastically rude, but deep down they are sure to be jealous!
