Speaking of Grantor, Meghan's best side is his form. Somehow, the sleek look sets it apart from regular caravans, especially this class. Megan found a pretty good way to turn a five-seat sedan into a space-enhanced solution. The trunk is large enough to meet normal needs, but it also has a solution that allows you to partially split it for the safe transportation of small items of luggage. Compared to the regular Megane, it also has a longer wheelbase, which also means more room for rear seat passengers. But we already know all this, because it has been available since 2016.

Last summer, Megan's offer was complemented with updated engines as required by stricter emission standards. In our test model, the most powerful turbo diesel was combined with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. This is also the only possible combination with such a powerful engine. So this is the best you can get with this Renault model.

It's the same with Bose equipment. In this respect, this is the very best that Megane has to offer, well, almost. The customer can also add the GT-Line package (external and internal) to the Bode package. But it looks like the Megane is doing well without these two accessories that accentuate the car's appearance more. The redesigned Megane is best rated for usability by the updated R-Link infotainment system. When you first get into the Megane, you are surprised by the huge central touchscreen (22 centimeters or 8,7 inches), positioned vertically.

As the name suggests, the Bose Surround Sound System with the additional "R-Sound" effect (at an additional cost instead of the 7-inch screen) ensures good sounding of the music being played. Communication with a smartphone and management of the information system is much easier than we are used to with the previous Megan R-Link, and it also responds much faster than before.

It is worth mentioning that the new sensor and camera system make a big contribution to improving visibility, which with the image on the center screen helps a lot with transparency, which is not quite the best without this accessory.

While one would expect the Megane Grandtour to be more of a family car in every way, and this could also apply to driving dynamics, the powerful engine also contributes to a good take on the aforementioned. Maneuverability is provided by a powerful engine, and there are no comments on the behavior of the automatic transmission. Although, of course, the greatest emphasis in this version of the engine is on superior performance, acceleration and top speed, it is also satisfactory in terms of economy, since a satisfactory average consumption can be achieved with sufficient endurance when pressing the accelerator pedal (reaching 5,9 liters. ). per 100 km at our rate in a circle).

Even comfort on pothole roads is acceptable and appropriate in this version with 17-inch tires. For less stressful driving, an optional “Safety” package has been provided, which warns of the suitability of a safe distance, as well as emergency braking and active cruise control for less stressful driving (both together for an additional fee of just under 800 euros).

With such a stocked Megane, Renault has certainly made it possible to find enough more customers in the future and is a perfectly acceptable alternative for anyone who cannot be convinced by trendy urban SUVs.
