No, of course, the Sharan cannot be compared to the Multivan home in terms of space - this is due to its external dimensions, which refer to an area that looks more like a car than a van. Almost 4,9 meters of Sharan, of course, means that parking lots can be crowded in places, but on the other hand, due to external dimensions and competent use of space, a seven-seater car came in handy, in which the back row is not just for decoration and in which you put something then another in the trunk, for example, just a small bag. 267 liters - this is a number that would be a small city car, into which it is difficult to squeeze more than two passengers, pleases - and here, in addition to comfortable seven people. 658 liters of luggage space for the second row of seats (which moves longitudinally by as much as 16 centimeters) is a figure relevant only for family trips to the sea, where there is a lot of sports equipment among the luggage.

The sliding doors, which are electrically movable in Sharan's test, also provide reasonably easy access to the rear row. Useful and worth the extra charge for electric scrolling. Sky badging means a panoramic roof window, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth are also standard, all together a good thousand more than with classic Highline equipment.

In Sharan, he also sits well behind the wheel, but of course you have to put up with a little more seating in the van, that is, a higher position with less longitudinal movement. But this is why the Sharan makes up for it with good visibility through the windows (but the outside mirrors could be larger) and good seats. Needless to say, the ergonomics of the driver's compartment are at their best.

The 140 “horsepower” (103 kilowatts) turbodiesel is quite economical despite its weight and large front surface, and 5,5 liters on a standard lap and 7,1 on a test are numbers that many small cars cannot achieve. Of course, sporty performance is not to be expected, for the rest of the movement the Sharan is powerful enough - and at the same time quiet and smooth enough, even when it comes to the chassis.

It is clear that it is possible to transport seven people cheaper (as evidenced by the internal competition), but still: Sharan is not only the best in this area, but also (in terms of price / quality ratio) the most favorable solutions.
