In the 60s, the engine attached to the Gnome R-01 bike cost about 120 euros, and the most expensive were, among other things, the Jawa 350, the cost of which reached 30 1970 zlotys. How much would that be in today's money? This is not easy to say due to the specific market situation in the Polish People's Republic. How much did the item cost then? In 2,7, one chicken egg cost about 3,3 euros, and a liter of milk - 1961 euros, however, it should be noted that inflation at that time was growing very quickly. PRL motorcycles have also been the dream of many young people. That is why the Romet Pony was created. This motorcycle was created for young people. Produced in 1973-1994. Interestingly, the first versions had bicycle handlebars. The vehicle developed a speed of 40 km/h and weighed 40 kg. Its fuel tank, in turn, could hold 4,5 liters. In those years, the vehicle looked impressive, but technically it was far from a good motorcycle. Today you can buy a Romet pony from many years ago for PLN 3.
