I bought a car, and he was hijacked

A couple of years ago, one of my friends decided to buy a new car, there was not a lot of money, so I went to the car market in Voronezh and chose a used VAZ 2109 for myself. The owner of the car was from Lipetsk and the nine did not arouse any suspicion. They drove her to the traffic police post, they checked everything, but saw nothing, in their opinion the vehicle was clean from the legal point of view.

When my friend came home to the Belgorod region to register his VAZ 2109, then in the regional center, having enlightened the car from all sides, the traffic police revealed that the car was stolen and the license plates on the body were broken. Well, then everything developed according to the well-known scenario.

The owner of this car was found and it was returned to him, but the buyer of the Nine was left without his money and without a car. Quite a long time has passed since this incident, and I still don't remember how this story ended. But then my friend, now after such an incident, never bought used cars again, now only new ones and from a car dealership.

He bought himself a new VAZ 2114, again in Voronezh, but now from an authorized dealer, and after that a Peugeot 307, and most likely he didn’t receive anything for that stolen car, money, as they say, down the drain.
