Kymco SuperNEX: electric supersport motorcycle at EICMA
In preparation for a slew of electric scooters, the Taiwanese manufacturer is unveiling the Kymco SuperNEX at EICMA, an electric motorcycle concept that reaches a top speed of 250 km / h.
The SuperNEX is Kymco's first electric motorcycle aimed at sports bike enthusiasts. Equipped with an advanced 6-speed transmission to deliver the power you need at all times, the Kymco SuperNEX promises a "real motorcycle" feel by integrating the clutch lever and gear selector.
In terms of performance, the SuperNEX accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2,9 seconds, from 0 to 200 km / h in 7,5 seconds and from 0 to 250 km / h in 10,9 seconds. Without revealing the power of its electric motorcycle, Kymco promises a top speed of 250 km / h. Four driving modes are available when in use: calm, positive, energetic and extreme.
Acoustic engine
Another striking feature of this Taiwanese electric motorcycle is its "acoustic" engine, which faithfully reproduces the dynamic sounds generated by a heat engine. Using the on-board computer, the user can adjust the type and volume of the simulated sound.
At this stage, Kymco does not provide a manufacturing date or price for SuperNEX. There is no doubt that the reaction of visitors and Internet users will push the manufacturer to release or not release an electric superbike.
