Lamborghini Aventador SVJ teased: 'It'll blow your mind'

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ will be officially unveiled at Pebble Beach later this month.

A new teaser for the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has been released, showing that the crazy house supercar… will be green.

Yes, it's not the most explicit teaser image we've ever seen, showing little more than a Lamborghini badge perched atop an ominous green paintwork and framed by what looked like a rather angry expression. But this is a start, right? Yes, and Lamborghini promised in the photo's caption that the Aventador SVJ would "amaze you."

The SVJ (or SuperVeloce Jota) is a super slippery Aventador that broke the Nürburgring stock car lap record last month. The heavily camouflaged car completed the lap in 6:44.97, taking the title of the fastest production car in the world (on the Ring at least) behind the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

What else do we know? Mostly speculation, but the Aventador's stock 6.5-litre V12 engine will be powered up, and the chassis and suspension will be tweaked. The big news, however, will be its aerodynamics: the SVJ is “designed to have the best possible aerodynamic efficiency” thanks to the Italian brand’s ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) system.

I'm afraid everything else will have to wait. But not for long; The full presentation of the Aventador SVJ will take place at Pebble Beach in the US on August 23rd.
