Laurels for Volvo S80

Volvo S80, the flagship model of the Swedish company, became the first car in the world to receive the highest scores in European and American crash tests.

Tests were carried out in three independent research institutes. In all tests, the Volvo S80 outperformed its competitors, making it the safest car in the world.

The streak of Volvo's largest limousines began in July 1999, when the S80 received the highest score in the side impact test for occupant safety. At the end of October this year. The S80 also won the frontal crash test.

Christer Gustafsson, safety expert at Volvo Car Corporation, commented on the test results: "We have a number of different test results from three independent institutions that came to the same conclusion." The company policy is not to brag about excellent single test results at all, as we believe that one test is not enough to assess the safety level of a car model, but here it turns out that the safety level of the Volvo S80 is absolutely world class.
